For three generations, Giovanni’s signature classical style and impeccable food earned it a 4-diamond rating. Against increased competition, a bold approach was taken to breathe new life into the worn interior and extend Giovanni’s reach to a younger, style-conscious customer. The answer was found in its menu. Today, the design is like the food, an impressive mix of the modern and classic. Giovanni’s is a wonderful adaptation of Tuscan-influenced color and texture.
Walls were opened to create added dining and expose a quaint but elegant paneled bar. Carved corbels with grape motifs embellish the granite bar and lush banquette seating adds richness to this room. In a smaller dining area, coffered ceiling and raised wood panels are crowned with modern cubist paintings that create drama and interest. The larger dining room is cleverly delineated with point lighting and classic draperies simple in style and pattern.
