mbi | k2m Architecture and Spectrum Design Services were commissioned by the owners of the Melbourne Beach Hilton to design an addition to the exisitng hotel. The project consists of 90 hotel rooms all approximately 400 square feet, common corridor, two stair towers, two elevators, and building support spaces. There are fifteen hotel rooms on each floor for a total of six floors above an on grade parking lot. Minor interior renovations are required to accommodate the new addition and include a gift shop, new fitness area, housekeeping, and connecting links to the new addition from the hotel lobby. Site work for the project includes an extensive renovation of the storm drainage system and parking lot, force main improvements, and landscaping. The exterior of the building is a complimentary design to the existing building and takes advantage of the maximum views from each hotel room. Our office is providing full A/E services for the project which is currently in schematic design.
