Description: Located just off the Merritt Parkway, the Trumbull Marriott is a Fairfield County hotel that is ideally located in the heart of Connecticut’s Fortune 500 corporations near Shelton and Bridgeport. Only an hour away from Manhattan, the Trumbull Marriott hotel features 324 guest rooms, 17 meeting rooms and 15 breakout rooms, a well appointed ballroom, J Porters Restaurant & Bar, garden pavilion, health club, amongst other high quality spaces typical to full service hotels. The current owner, Thomas Point Ventures, L.P., in 2007 committed to revitalizing the property and repositioning it to align with current Marriott brand standards.

It is through this commitment to the property and our strong working relationship with Thomas Point Ventures, L.P., that they contacted mbi | k2m Architecture to assist by providing architectural and engineering services to modify their meeting rooms, board room, ballroom, and prefunction space.

The scope of work included existing conditions documentation, demolition package, review of interior design packages, architectural and electrical engineering construction documents package, project coordination with team members including the brand, permit coordination, and office construction administration support. The total square footage where work was completed is approximately 16,000 square feet. One special feature of the work completed by our office was a completely new, state of the art dimming system throughout the meeting rooms, board room, ballroom, and prefunction space.
