Description: Building on the success of past Country Inn & Suites projects, Tara Hospitality commissioned Spectrum Design Services to complete the interior renovation of this Hampton Inn & Suites, in Nashville, TN. Located at the Nashville Airport this hotel caters to business travelers and vacationers alike as the property is just 8 miles from the city’s center.

Spectrum Design provided a completely custom lobby design package which adhered to the Hampton Inn & Suites’ new Perfect Mix design concept. This project was one of the first to implement Hampton’s new design direction.

The objective of the Perfect Mix lobby is to enhance the guest experience by understanding the way in which guests could potentially use the space and design it to suite their needs. The new lobby design invites guests in and encourages them to utilize the space throughout the day with the lobby serving as an extension of the guest room. Modern and comfortable seating create a relaxing space in front of the lobby fireplace.

The new open lobby promotes a welcoming environment for all guests. The design is casual and comfortable with a wide variety of seating options and entertaining areas. The upholstery fabrics and accessories feature vibrant jewel tones and create a fresh and upbeat atmosphere. Rich hardwood flooring with carpet insets and neutral wallcovering sets the tone for the colorful textiles used throughout the space.

A grand communal table anchors the breakfast area with sleek pendant lighting above. The table is a key feature in the Perfect Mix lobby and generates activity throughout the day. Guests can read the newspaper, work on their laptop and hold informal business meetings at this location. In addition, a soft seating area flanks the communal table creating a “lounge” type atmosphere. Combinations of sofas, small tea tables, dining chairs and upholstered seating complete this area.

A new media wall was also part of the re-design and consists of three floating shelves arranged in an asymmetrical composition. Framed black and white photographs, decorative vases and a flat screen LCD TV complete the look.
