This fifth addition to the Hyde Park Grille group is Owner Joe Saccone’s first collaboration with Spectrum Design Services. The entire space, with the exception of the kitchen, was gutted to bare studs. The design mission was to create a Steakhouse – masculine yet warm, classic yet eclectic, and open yet private. This was achieved through the use of timeless materials such as wood and brick, combined with cool, lean walls with accents of jalapeno red; the main dining is a combination of ultra comfortable leather booths as well as functional freestanding tables.
Two unique private dining rooms were created, one reminiscent of a woodsy lodge complete with brick clad walls and a majestic fireplace. The second room is more elegant with luxurious wool rugs, rich wood-paneled walls and a barrel vault ceiling, faux painted to resemble copper leaf.
To complete the space, the design team added a variety of interesting accessories from an antique carousel horse, to a turn-of-the-century photo-turned-mural of downtown Cleveland. Perhaps the most notable of all are two life-size pewter Boxer sculptures, which stand ‘guard’ over the bar.
